Looking for a best friend that’s more woah than go? Dexter is your boy! This cute bay roan AQHA gelding is 12 years old and stands a stout 14.2 hands tall. He has some great bloodlines being a grandson of Boonlight Dancer and Gangster Chic! Dexter isn’t in a hurry to get places, he’d much rather mosey along whether it’s in the arena or out on the trails! Dexter has the nicest little trot and lope that you can sit for hours, he is a super smooth ride! He rides on a loose rein and is very respectful and patient, even with inexperienced riders. Dexter has been all over the trails with us and will lead or follow, or ride alongside other horses with no kick or bite. Dexter has been started roping lightly as well as done some team sorting. He would be great to put to work on a ranch, finish him out to be a great little breakaway horse, or use him for lessons! Dexter has been handled by kids here and he is very gentle with them, never walking over top, and listening to what they ask of him. He stands tied nicely, bathes, loads and hauls. He is currently shod on all four, has great feet and is good for the farrier and vet. He’s been exposed to dogs, tractors, four wheelers and is traffic safe. He did wonderful riding through old downtown Tombstone as well despite all the bustle of people, flags, and vehicles. He’s a level headed kind of horse and doesn’t take much to get him used to new things at all. Dexter is sound with clean legs and no maintenance needed!
