“Akon” is a 13 year old Bay Roan Gelding standing 15.2 hds . We cannot explain enough just how simply amazing this gelding is! Akon is truly one in a million and we believe his new family will agree. Ropings to rodeos, ranch work to trails, this boy does it all! He is big, stout and a head turner all in one. Akon is a perfect gentleman . He is very easy to handle, stands for everything from shoeing to saddling. He loads like a dream and hauls good with other horses and cattle. He stays turned out with 4 other geldings , gets along good with mares as well and does fine in a stall. He has been hauled all over the United States from rodeos to World Series ropings . He is a finished head horse, for any level roper to go on with. He is very quiet in the box, leaves flat and smooth and makes a pretty move in the field. Akon is the same every single run whether it’s one steer at a rodeo or 15 steers at a roping! He is also a finished breakaway horse and has been heeled on . We have used him in the grand entry’s at rodeos and also to push stock out of the arena . Take him to the ranch , we have used him to sort , gather , and rope sick cattle on , and also load trucks on him . Out on the trail he is a blast to ride! Akon goes through and over anything you point him towards. He loves water and is always eager to go. Akon is pretty enough, and classy enough to go to the show pen as well and would be great at that as well. He has a beautiful walk/trot/ lope and very easy smooth transitions. He lopes out of your hand like butter and moves off your legs perfectly. Akon is strong and athletic with the looks to boot. We couldn’t ask for a more perfect horse and it has been a very hard decision to part with him.
