This mare is the total package! Alice is a well rounded 15yr old Red Roan Mare. She stands between 15.2 and 15.3 hands. She is deep bodied and big boned. She is very versatile, excels English & Western. She is extremely well broke, carries herself correctly in every way, has a beautiful trot and breaks at the poll nicely. She is calm and confident when under saddle. She has been jumping a course of fences for the past 6 months, she has been in the PPH program for over a year. Her first schooling show she won all 6 classes shown 18” to 2’6. She would also excel in the jumper division or 3 day eventing. She has jumped 3’ with a ton of scope to go higher. Her lead changes are a work in progress but with added leg, she will change over a fence. She has done ranch work, been roped on and is lightly patterned on the barrels by an NFR Qualifier. She has seen all the bright lights and loud music of the rodeos. She has also been trail ridden a lot both in Texas and in the mountains of Wyoming. She loves water, will cross bridges and walk over downed logs. She stands quietly to be saddled/mounted and will even put her head down to be bridled. She can be intimidating due to her size, power and her buttons, I would recommend an intermediate rider. She has been ridden and jumped by a 12 year old girl regularly. If she doesn’t know you, she will be quirky and cautious on the ground at first. Once she warms up to you, she LOVES attention and is very sweet. She has been barefoot and has been shod, has not required any maintenance. She is up to date on her teeth, farrier, vaccines and worming. She passed a lameness exam with flexions on 5/22 and they also verified her age. This is a mare that is so versatile and will be someone’s lifelong partner.
