Who doesn’t love a beautiful buttermilk buckskin? Mack is one pretty boy with his adorable little head and kind eye. This is a stout, ranch bred gelding that aims to please in every task. Mack is by a son of Docs Oak Sugar, a multiple cutting champion, who is by the great Docs Oak- LTE $75,000. Mack’s granddam is a daughter of the great Sun Frost- PE of $2 million. Mack’s dam was a great hand on the ranch in her time that was tried and true with the ranch chores.
Mack has an extensive background in working at a sale barn where his long hard days include (but not limited to): standing tied..for many hours, side-passing to gates and waiting for it to be chained. tracking cattle, and being BROKE. After working many days at the sale barn as well as at the ranch, Mack has learned to sustain his energy. Meaning: no messing around, getting hot, or spooky because he knows there is a hard days work ahead that he needs to be ready for.
When you are done with the “real work” be sure to take Mack for a leisurely trail ride where he will cross water and truck up and down the big hills. Mack has had extensive outside riding with us as well as arena riding. He will be soft in the bridle, carry his head at the perfect level, and always be ready to stop. This guy is very much push style and laid back. Whether you are a one-handed rider or two he will be there when you pick up on the reins.

Mack is sound, has clean legs, and great feet. For any questions at all, be sure to call Brianna 605-777-5883 or Jared 605-212-8917. If you would like to come see him, you are more than welcome to come to our home in Canistota, SD. One is not only getting a new horse when they work with us, but a partnership. We will absolutely help you in any way we can even after you take Mack home.
