Roofus came off of a really sweet older gentleman who was using him to check his fences and cows. He also rode him in a couple of small town rodeo parades, grand entries, and used him for parking and traffic control. He has been super quiet with us here and he had been turned out for a whole month when we got him. He rode off like he was ridden yesterday. He is super level-headed, chill, and not much of anything bothers him. He has a naturally-level/low head carriage and the cutest little typey quarter horse head. He is a great size at only 14.2 hands – but still very stout and wide to carry most any size adult. He’s easy to step on and off of and easy to throw your saddle up on. He stands dead quiet for mount and dismount on a big long loose rain and will walk around anywhere you point him on a big long loose relaxed rein. He is very confident out alone and did a lot of his rides alone; he happily leaves the barn and leaves the other horses. He rides well in a big group as well and doesn’t really care where he is in the marching order. He has a cute little trot and lope, he catches both of his leads well, and has a nice simple stop on whoa. He hops right in the trailer, hauls and unloads quietly, and will tie to the trailer all day long. If you are looking for a pleasant companion to keep turned out at your place and be able to get on and enjoy every ride – then this sweet boy would be a great one to look at.
