EKPD Sand Peppy Doc aka “Scout” is a 2017 Registered Paint gelding standing at 15 hands. Scout is a a kind and gentle gelding who is willing to go all day long. He has lots of energy and makes a great using horse. Scout is willing to go through any obstacle you put in his way whether it’s flags, banners, tarps, water, lawn sprinklers and fountains, he is always ready to do what you ask when you ask it. I have used Scout to gather cattle, check fences, pony colts, trail ride, and he has always been a great companion. He rides in an arena and outside whether it’s by himself or in a group. I often take him out to check fences bareback in a hackamore and him and I both have the best time! He walk, trot and lopes both leads very easily off your leg cues. He mostly neck reins but will also listen to direct rein. Scout listens phenomenally to leg cues, he will turn around both directions and side pass left and right with ease making opening and closing gates off him a breeze. Scout is ready to be a using horse or could be finished to be one of the prettiest in the arena for gymkhanas, ranch rodeo, and ropings. He has an adorable gelding personality with excellent ground manners. He ties nicely in the barn or at the trailer to be groomed, saddled, and bathed. He hops on the trailer with ease and backs off very nicely. Scout can be outside in a pasture alone or with other horses, he also does well in a stall. He has recently been seen by my vet, farrier, dentist and chiropractor and was an excellent citizen for them all. Scout is an excellent horse that is always ready to work and be pointed in the next direction by his rider.
