Jos Skipin Pine, aka “Joey” is a gorgeous dark grulla gelding that has all the cool primitive grulla markings. Joey stands about 15.3 hands tall and is a blocky built horse made to carry all sizes riders, and gentle and quiet enough for any experience of rider. Joey excels as a trail horse he has been all over the country trail riding. He is easy going, relaxed and very steady on the trail. He’s been thru deep mud up and down steep hills, rocky terrain, and rivers with ease. He’ll stand tied calm and relaxed with taking a lunch break out in the woods! He has been on rides with big groups and out alone and doesn’t mind where he is at in line, lead or follow. Joey will neck rein and direct rein, he has a nice easy to sit slow trot and a beautiful extended trot, smooth lope. He will set his head and collect up as well. Joey will stand still to be mounted from the ground of the mounting block. He is a gentlemen on the ground with great ground manners. He will stand tied regular or cross tied at the barn or at the trailer. He always stands still to saddle and for the vet and farrier. Joey originally came from Colorado where he was a husbands trail mount and to push cattle. He has good feed and currently has front shoes on but doesn’t need them. He is up to date on dewormer, 5 way and rabies Vaccines, and a current coggins. Joey will have a small scar on his front right knee, it has never bothered him and he is sound on it.
