Meet Cash! Here he is- big, quiet, middle age, and a gelding!! My phone rings daily for this type! Cash is the steady eddy, quiet, dependable, and safe mount that everyone is searching for. He is 16 hands & 12 years old. His mom is a haflinger and his dad is a Belgian draft. Cash is a handsome chestnut gelding with a long, thick blonde mane and tail. He is the type who is built to last. He is correct in every way; good bone structure, clean legs, proportionate body, and strong hooves. Cash is a joy to ride and is easy to get along with. He walks, trots, and canters on a loose rein and has wonderful breaks. Say “whoa” and he tucks in his hind end and comes to a complete stop. Cash has a nice steady way of going and is very agile for a horse of his size. He is generally in no rush to get anywhere. Cash takes his time and enjoys the views. Cash rides both English and western. He has done countless of trail rides and has been hauled out to all the state and to metro parks all in Michigan. This fall Cash did a few hunter paces with some of our staff members. He has seen plenty of miles on the dirt roads, open fields and deep woods. Water, wildlife, bikes don’t phase him at all. He jumps right around in true hunter fashion, slow and steady. He pops his knees up yet won’t shy from anything. He has lots of fancy buttons for the more advanced riders. He knows how to side passing, leg yield, pivoting, turn on the forehand and haunches in. He has competed under the lights in a grand stand performance in front of hundreds of people while keeping his cool. He has also completed our de-sensitization program with flying colors; flags, tarps, pool noodles, opening gaits roping- he’s seen it all. Cash has also been driven! He’s pulled out carriage in busy cities and just around the farm. We think Cash would do well as a lesson horse, family horse, trail horse, or a show horse.
