It’s hard to find a gentle and beautiful horse, but Toby is the whole package! He does not have one mean bone in his body and tries hard to please his rider. He is uncomplicated to ride, more whoa than go, and prefers to walk down the trails at a comfortable speed. He’s never offered to rear, buck, or any other dangerous behavior. He ties, saddles, bridles, bathes, is safe to be around. He was used in a lesson program also! He gave many walk/trot lessons. He is not “fancy broke,” won’t spin a hole in the ground or slide to a stop, but he is safe and reliable! (Which is the MOST important quality!) does not have any vices, soundness issues, or health issues. No weird quirks.
Toby is loved and has been ridden by many different riders in my barn. He has been ridden English and western, rides in all western tack (back cinch included) with no issues. He enjoys a good treat after rides, but has never been rude or mean toward people. I’ve never hesitated or been concerned about my lesson kids being around Toby, grooming him/handling/riding him. He always tries his best to be a good citizen.
Toby is barefoot, has solid and healthy feet. He has never been foundered, is in perfect body score, and has clean legs. He has never taken a sore step the entire time I’ve owned him. Toby has been hauled a lot of miles, and doesn’t have any dangerous trailering behaviors. Ties inside and outside of the trailer. He had also been tied next to many other horses at my hitching post and in my stock trailer and I’ve never had him offer to kick or be nasty to any horses he’s been next to.
