Introducing Spud! He’s an 8 year Halflinger Gelding that’s as cute as a button! Spud is a saint of a pony. Standing at 14.1 hands and stocky built. Spud has been used as a 4H all around pony and a backyard pony for the grandkids. He is not spooky at all and absolutely loves kids! Not only do the kids love Spud but so does adults! He is a no fuss type pony that will go anywhere you ask him. I’ve had Spud out on trails all over different types of terrain he’s great on his feet, really watches his footing and goes thru ditches and creeks with ease. Spud also rides fantastic in the arena. Walk, trot with a nice head set and lopes picking up both leads. Spud is better to direct rein but he’s picking up on neck reining easily. He has a great mind and puppy dog personality, on the ground Spud has fantastic ground manners. He will stand tied nicely, stands quiet to be tacked, brushed and for the vet and farrier. Spud has great legs and feet, he doesn’t need shoes unless riding a lot on rocky trails then I suggest shoes. He is the type of pony that will be cool and collected with anything you ask him to do. One of my favorite attributes about Spud is that he will stop and stand when asked anywhere without dancing around. If I need to stop along the trial and talk to someone he’ll stand nice and relaxed when I ask. Spud would also make a nice English pony. He really tracks beautifully and just needs someone to show him how. Spud is also the type of pony that’s comfortable, at a walk trot or lope Spud is smooth and a comfortable ride. He’s a solid pony for any type rider, beginner or advanced you’ll love Spud! Sound has never had any health problems and is sound, He is current on Coggins and Rabies Vaccination.
