A Friend For Life/ Ein Freund fürs Leben

It is with a heavy heart that I am selling my beautiful Hanoverian gelding Fabalou. We bred him ourselves on our horse farm in Bielefeld; his mother and grandmother are still on his father's farm. Both have notable successes in various competitions. He has correct conformation, is easy to load and forge and is absolutely social in the herd.

His gaits are above average and his potential is far from exhausted. His dressage level is L, but he also loves jumping and group rides. I have trained him exclusively with the double lunge and he is familiar with ground work.

Neither he nor his ancestors were ill. Unfortunately, he has had an accumulation of water on his left hock for a few weeks (hit by a fellow horse). I had this examined and x-rayed immediately. I was assured by the clinic that it is now an external blemish.

Due to my illness, I am unfortunately no longer able to continue riding with my usual ambition. I am therefore planning to move the center of my life to Spain (Ibiza). Fabalou is a self-confident, strong-willed horse who can give his rider a great deal of pleasure and success, provided he is ridden correctly, consistently and fairly or worked from the ground. He is not suitable for beginners.

I would like to find him a loving home where he will be a valued friend and part of the family, and where he can be worked with intensively, be it through ground work or extended grooming sessions etc. He is currently undergoing further training and is gaining his first competition experience (dressage A/L level) with Mr. Torsten Barmbold in 27249 Massen.
