Árvarkur ist ein großer und kräftiger, Junghengst in windfarbener Sonderlackierung mit schöner Oberlinie und Balance, weiten fließenden Bewegungen und guter Tempofähigkeit, viel Tölt und sehr guter Gangverteilung. 
Árvarkurs Vater ist Stormur frá Grund 2. Seine Mutter Roka von den Reutwiesen  geht großväterlicherseits auf Nagli frá Þúfu í Landeyjum und Hektor frá Galtalæk zurück.
Árvarkur wächst bei uns in artgerechter Offenstallhaltung in einer großen gemischten Herde mit Artgenossen im Alter von 0 bis 30 Jahren auf. Er ist Baumaschinen, LKW, Lärm und Trubel gewohnt. 
Haltung und Zucht unserer Pferde sind uns eine Herzensangelegenheit. Die Versorgung mit bestem, selbstgemachtem Bergwiesen-Heu und guten Mineralien, regelmäßiges Ausschneiden alle acht Wochen, vierteljährliches Entwurmen sowie alle notwendigen Impfungen sind für uns selbstverständlich. Unsere Pferde sind Familienmitglieder. Daher geben wir Árvarkur nur in beste Hände ab.
