Patriot is a true head turner and will get you noticed wherever you take him. He is as gentle as you can find and broke with all of the buttons and tricks. Shoot guns off of him, bullwhips, tarps, dogs, atvs, nothing fazes him. He even lays down on command! He rides bareback with just a halter. He had a couple months of reined cowhorse and cutting training, as well as several months team roping training. Patriot can rope both ends, stays calm in the box and runs hard. He has also been break-away roped on. He naturally wants to spin fast and stop hard. He will spin on a dime, side pass and open a gate both directions. He takes both leads and knows his canter departures. He is extremely light and responsive and listens to your legs and seat. Patriot is extremely cowy, you can stick him on a cow and drop the reins and he won't lose it. Super catty, quick footed and watches a cow. He has been used for pasture roping and ranch chores. He stays gentle and stays broke. Good with time off and doesn't get cold backed or fresh. Stands tied, good for the farrier, loads well in the trailer and knows how to back out or jump out. He rides alone or in a group, front or back of the group. Patriot is one of the most level headed horses I have ever trained and ridden. He is athletic and talented enough to win money in the show pen, but most importantly he is puppy dog gentle and safe enough to be used as a family horse.
