Rio is a 7yr old 13.2 hand stout made quarter pony gelding with that cool Golden Palomino color and is well broke to ride. Rio neckreins, sidepasses and has a big stop. Rio has been roped on the heel side and has been used for youth rodeo and knows what a days work is like.
But if you need that cool flashy trail mount for the kids Rio is your man. He goes over logs and through water and wherever you point him with no hesitation. Rio is the type of gelding you can pull out of the stall at any given time and go for a stroll and he rides the same everytime.
Rio stands 13.2 hands but is stout enough to carry any size rider and not feel to big on. Rio also rides in the arena and picks up his leads and is super smooth and comfortable to ride. Rio is gentle and easy to get along with and loves all the attention the kids can give him. Rio is great for the kids because you dont have to be a professional to ride him but he will make your kids look like professionals.
We have exposed him to bouncy balls and flapping tarps and all kinds of obstacles and he doesnt mind any of it. We have also ridden him down the main highway into town and he does not mind traffic at all.
Rio does well in the stall or turned out in a mixed herd . Rio stands to be bathed, tacked and to mount and dismount. Rio is up to date on farrier, dewormer and had his teeth done early this summer.
