Taffy is a super sweet 12.1 hand pony that is the hard to find type of pony, the perfect size, solid, seasoned ranch pony that is also a that is also a true babysitter. Our 9yr son, Ian, can go do a ranch job, work the feed lot in alleyways crowded with calves sorting out groups and work the gates moving the calves up the alleys all while having his 3yr old sister riding double. Ian has ridden Taffy for many miles up and down the mountain in grizzly bear country gathering and pushing cattle. He has taken her up the mountain at 4am going hunting and we never worry about him when he is riding Taffy as she is very safe and sure footed. She is an excellent trail horse, not bothered by wildlife, goes where she is pointed and will cross anything from downed timber to the river. Ian has take her all over town, down the busy highway and into the stores to go shopping. She's not bothered by the fast moving traffic, semis, or motorcycles. Ian has been learning mounted shooting on Taffy. She is calm and not bothered by the gunfire or the balloons popping. Not only is great for a 9yr old but she is a true babysitter his 3yr old little sister. She can rider her independently all over the ranch and out for trial rides on the mountain. Taffy is very willing to be guided by our 3yr old and never give her any hassle but she also happy to be on a lead line and be ponied when need be. Taffy rides to the level of her rider. She knows her leads and will lope nice circles. Taffy has no pony vices. She will easily ride out by herself, she's happy in any position of a group. She will ride away from the group or back to it with out a fuss, the group can also leave her and she isn't bothered. Taffy is friendly, easy to catch and has excellent ground manners. Taffy sells as with the complete starter package, saddle, pad and bridle so you have everything your little cowboy or cowgirl need for their pony. She is up to date on worming, vaccinations, and dental. She comes with complete vet records and has had a basic health exam done.
