Sundance combines the athleticism & stunning looks of the American Paint Horse with the gentle & friendly nature of the Shire. Sundance is the type of horse made to last with the versatility to get any job done!
Sundance rides Western and English. He lopes both directions on the correct lead. He has beautiful transitions, moves laterally off of your leg, spins, and stops with subtle cues.
On the trail Sundance confidently crosses water, goes up and down steep terrain, and crosses downfall with ease. He is an enjoyable ride out alone or within a group. He is not herd bound.
Aside from the leisurely trail ride, Sundance isn’t afraid of work. He has been used to push cattle & pasture roped off of. He is unfazed by working dogs moving cattle all around him, dragging calves to be worked, and opening & shutting gates.
At home Sundance is a barn favorite. He’s easy to catch, can be stalled or turns out in a mixed herd. He stands tied/cross tied, stands for bathing, mounting, & the farrier. He is accustomed to the commotions of daily life and is unbothered by children, farm machinery, atv’s, and other livestock.
Sundance is safe! Traffic safe! Gun safe! Carries the flag & is unbothered by the tarp. He has been ridden and enjoyed by a variety of riders!
