WWW. CLASSICHORSEAUCTION. COM THIS HOSE IS LOCATED: Boonville, IN CURRENT BID: 3000 BUY NOW: 7800 To view health docs, see consignor’s info, how to schedule a meeting to try it out, visit our site.. https://classichorseauction.com/auctions/hunter-2/ VIDEO >> https://youtu.be/CtsKSnGr0ek Walkin The Moon (Hunter) is a coming 6 yr old registered TWHBEA gelding. He stands a little over 15.2 hands tall. This high-headed gelding has bloodlines going back to The Pushover, The Pusher CG, Delight of Pride, Pride of Midnight and Pride’s Secret Threat. His naturally smooth gait makes him extremely comfortable on the trial or gives him potential for the show ring. This is a gelding who LIKES being in the woods and does his best when given a job. For nearly 2 years, we have used Hunter for trail riding, and he has shown us he will go over, under or through anything you point him towards without hesitation or silliness. Whether you are riding on the road with traffic or on the trail encountering water, brier patches, ditches, mud, downed trees or large logs, Hunter will keep you safe and plow through the terrain. He has been great at teaching the younger horses how to navigate in the woods. Hunter is content being in the front or back and does not get nasty when other horses are right on his tail. We have also ridden him alone, and he has never shown any sign of being barn or buddy sour. Hunter stays broke whether ridden weekly or monthly. He has never bucked, reared, kicked or shown any sign of aggression. This gelding would best be suited for a serious trail rider who wants to cover the ground. Hunter has a motor and likes to move out when riding. Due to this, he would not ride well with slower gaited horses or stock breeds. However, his energy is controllable, and he does not pull on the bit or fight the rider. Hunter is a joy to ride. Hunter parks out on command from the ground or from the saddle. He stands great for mounting, loves to be groomed and to be given a bath, is great for the farrier and does all the basics like loading/unloading etc. He is in the middle of the pecking order and pastures well with other geldings. He has not been pastured with mares since we own none. He has been exposed to large dogs running around the farm, been pastured next to cows and has watched heavy equipment of all types coming and going on the farm. Hunter is 100% healthy and sound. He is up-to-date on all dental work, vaccinations, deworming and farrier care. He has excellent hooves and needs no fancy shoes or gimmicks to make him gait smoothly. As with any horse, Hunter is not perfect, and he will need time to warm up to his new owner. He can be timid and cautious around people he is not used to, but he comes around quickly with treats and time spent with him. He is also not a fan of a mounting block (but it’s not needed since he parks out perfectly) or a feed scoop for some reason. These issues are small, but we want to make sure the new owner is aware. If you are a person who loves to move down the trail on a beautiful horse who is smooth and experienced, check out Hunter.
